Summer is here which means that there’s plenty going on around the city! Here are some other great shows which are happening in July!
The Full Monty – The Capitol Theatre
While spying on their wives at a “Girls’ Night Out,” a group of unemployed steelworkers from Buffalo come up with a bold (and unclothed) way to make some quick cash. In preparing for the show, they find themselves extremely exposed, both physically and emotionally. As they conquer their fears, self-consciousness, and prejudices, the men come to discover that they’re stronger as a group, and the strength that they find in each other gives them the individual courage to let it all go.

July 17 – 21
The roving experience begins at Porch View Dances Lane and London Street in Seaton Village, Toronto

Three Men on a Bike – Guild Festival Theatre
Jay, George & Harris embark on an ill-fated cycling holiday through Germany in this comic misadventure filled with witty banter, clever observations, and ridiculous mishaps. This laugh-out-loud comedy captures the spirit of the open road as our trio find themselves in one hilarious predicament after another, testing their patience, wit, and friendship.
Featuring the same cast and creative team that brought 2023’s hit Three Men in a Boat to uproarious life, Three Men on a Bike offers a theatrical vision of Jerome K. Jerome’s Victorian satire that proves that sometimes the best way to navigate life is to embrace its absurdity.

Spin – Guild Festival Theatre
A timeless musical celebration of the bicycle, Evalyn Parry’s SPIN is an innovative production that has toured the continent for over a decade. Inspired in part by the incredible true story of Annie Londonderry, the first woman to ride around the world on a bicycle in 1895, SPIN travels from nineteenth century women’s emancipation to the present day, forging unexpected links across time and history. A vintage bicycle, hooked up to simple electronics and suspended in a mechanic’s stand, becomes a percussion instrument: played from fenders to spokes to sprung vinyl seat, from whirling pedals to bells, percussionist Brad Hart creates a captivating sonic accompaniment to Parry’s evocative songs and stories.
July 6th – One night only
Much Ado About Nothing – Thaumatrope Theatre
This play centres on two young couples: Claudio and Hero, and Beatrice and Benedick. Beatrice, Hero’s cousin, is embroiled in a “merry war” with Benedick, a soldier, and the two are equally-matched when it comes to their wit and their distaste for one another. Just beneath the surface of their banter, though, is an affection that is brought to light by a trick played by their friends. Claudio and Hero’s story is dramatic, with the ill-intentioned Don John sabotaging Hero and Claudio’s relationship by convincing Claudio that Hero has been unfaithful.
July 13th – One night only
